Labour Inspectors are declared as Inspectors under various central & state labour laws by the appropriate Govt. & accordingly in the capacity of law enforcing agency they are empowered to call for information & documents from the employers under the applicable labour laws on them. Keeping in view the latest Act & Rules the officers prepare the inspection Performa for conducting inspection which includes the all major questionnaire on implementation of difference provisions of applicable Acts & rules there under. They require various registers & records for inspection to be maintained under applicable labour laws including submission of returns from the employers.
