Dear Seniors,
I need to know about the Calculations done while doing Performance Appraisal using Bell Curve Method.
- What all formulas do we apply to complete Bell curve.
- How the distribution of salary is done.
- The methodology to do the calculation and then merge with each individual's salary.
If you have any xls./document ready with you, please do share with me.
Please help and revert at the earliest.

First of all decide on what is your organization's annual increent rate (say x).
Define evaluation unit
Also define the % of employee distribution in the bell curve fitment....5% 10% 70% 10% 5%....something like this.
Now allocate the annual increment % to each defined evaluation unit, i.e. (number of employees in that evaluation unit times the x)
Depending upon the employee performance, let the employee be given increments)
Now it will be the responsibiltiy of the HR department to how the bell curve woul dlook like putting all the scores in to one aggregated worksheet. It can normal distribution or skewed to one side....

Dear Phuntshok, Thanks for your mail. I understand this theory, however, if you have a template ready with you, please do share with me. It’ll be a great help.
