Hello Deepa,
I wonder why you have gone 'Anonymous'! The mere fact that you have applied to do PhD indicates that you have a Master degree in Management. Did you not study a Research Methodology module during your course? Have you accessed ppt presentation on Research Methodology available at CiteHr?
The first step in deciding whether a topic is suitable for a PhD degree is to scan the web to see what others have done, how and why that way and, to see if there are any gaps in the knowledge that you can throw light on. To obtain a PhD degree one should be able to add something new to the knowledge bank.
A simple search of the web led me to a project report at https://www.scribd.com/doc/21260793/...Project-Report
More links are available at https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ma...hrome&ie=UTF-8
I hope, unlike some that sought such information who did not acknowledge the help or replied to queries, you will answer some of my questions and then tell us what you have decided in terms of the aim and objectives of your PhD proposal.

Thankyou sir for relpying to my query. yes, i have studied about research methodology during my MBA.I know sir phd is for filling the gaps in the current knowledge and as you told me i will search whether my topic has been researched before or not.Actually this khadi topic striked my mind suddenly because my family is in khadi business but i am not sure about this. I would prefer a topic which is limited so that i dont get lost finding something else.So can you please suggest me marketing topics and i will surely let you know about my proposal.
Thankyou sir

Dear Deepa,
Thank you for your prompt response. Please access the websites suggested by me and then tell me what you want to do. While doing a PhD, you start of with a broad subject and then narrow it down. Without knowing what access you have and where you will be doing the PhD, who is your supervisor and what are his/her interests, etc., it is not easy to guide you. Did you study Marketing module during your masters? I used to teach Operations Management and Strategic Management. Marketing is not my specialism.
