Dear Team,
One of my friend is facing great problem regarding attendance and salary related issues with his new company HR policy. He has Joined that Company as on 27th of January, 2015 and asking for salary in the month of February and he has been informed that he will receive the salary in the month of March '2015.Now he has received his salary on 1st March for 25 days and got informed that they are ( Company ) calculating attendance circle between 21st of previous month to 20th of next month, and that's why he has received only 25 days salary although he has worked from 27th Jan to 31 st march i.e for one full month and 5 days.
Moreover, In my case during my total experience I have worked for 2 or 3 companies where I joined from the middle of the month say 5th or 14th and I get from then to full month salary in the next month and as per as my knowledge they are calculating that thing in advance accrual basis.
Please let me know the actual norms relating to this issue and Is This Procedure Is Legally Valid? Please Advise.

Dear Abhijit,
If the attendence cycle is what you have mentioned , there is nothing wrong in the salary calculation except for the fact that your friend has been given one day of extra salary.
Friend's joining - 27/1/2015
He has not worked on 21/01, 22/01, 23/01, 24/01, 25/01 and 26/01 ( According to the cycle of the company). This way, he should be given salary of 24 days only because he has not worked for 6 days. May be the HR has calculated 25 because January is of 31 days but that's wrong practice.
Since the next attendance cycle will start from 21 st Feb -20 th March, i don't see your friend losing anything on salary front.
