we have been reading and watching the news that there is great improvements in the output of the Indian Railways in terms of facilities to the passengers and also profit for the railways.
The Minister for Railways, Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav was invited by the IIM to deliver a speech about the success of his efforts.
So what are the reasons behind the success.
It is said that this sudden turn around is a good topic for Managers to think, discuss, debate and also LEARN.

he made the railway system easily accessble to the common man.
No increase in the railway fare for the last three years. (It is a record in Indian History).
He made small but important changes in the railways compartments.
The minister himself very famous for his action.
More trains introduced.
He created environment for top executives to work freely without fear

Well i think that it would be unjust to give the entire creit of the turnaround to Lalu..i guess no turnaround takes place in one term i guess the policies brought in by nishith kumar also deserve some credit...

There are lot many things to taken by Indian railway, as i being from Mumbai , commuting is a very serious problem very single day. If u go to see the Railways time table is same from ages. No Railway minister has bothered to see in to this matter.
