This is a very serious concern to share with you all. One of our employee who is a software engineer and he does control panel programming was on notice period.
His last working day in the organization was 31st Jan but since 7 days he is abscond.
After his abscond we getting to know that he has put password in all programming. He is not responding calls messages.
He belongs to other state here he was staying in company guest house which he vacate. we are not having his local address but we do have his village address.
He is 9 year old employee thus such confidential work was under his control.
Please suggest us how we can go ahead to recover passwords.

This is very serious. If you believe the absconding engineer may have dubious/ criminal intention to use the data illegally to his advantage, then explore filing police case against him.
Send letter immediately on his last known address giving factual data of his criminal acts and asking him to report immediately seeking his explanation. Also threaten him of police case if he fails to explain and withholding of his dues and release letter.
This might work. At an opportune time later, publish in prominent newspaper his photo giving his misdeeds and asking him to report for an enquiry. Consult legal expert for every action.
