Hello,
Hence, you're working in Bahrain, this case seems to be different from practice to practice, but I would like to know the following details; before submitting my last advice to you;
1- what is the normal procedure for submitting resign in your current company
2- is there any article in your contract, which can stop you to do not give resignation letter
3- is your boss are requesting you to do, not resign or he is forcing you
4- what is your organization nature of work and location exactly

I second Mr Ahmad, please share the terms and conditions of your employment with us first.

Contract period is a condition that binds to both employee and employer for a particular period and both have to follow the same till the end of contact. Terms and conditions regarding 'resignation and notice period' stated in your appointment letter needs to be consider first

You have joined them for 24 months on a contract job which allow you to take leave of 2 months out of 24 months but you resigned which evidently says that you are not intended to complete your contact period.

In this case, where you are not following the contract terms & conditions and resigned, you are not allowed to take leave of 2 months which automatically forced the work conditions till the last day of contract.

A request or a formal information letter regarding your leaving would have serve the purpose if you want to go early but your resignation put you in trouble.

Now the only option you have in your hand to overcome this problem is to request them. Be humble, calm, and do not indulge in any kind of argument, or showing any frustration.

You need to discuss the same with your HR/Supervisor/Boss and request them with valid reasons that you want to go home.

Best of Luck

My dear friend
By resigning you are violating the contract; hence the terms of contract are not applicable to you. Please read the Bahrain labour laws it is available on the net.
Had you kept quiet and worked without resigning you would have been relieved two months prior to end of contract and also paid your gratuity which you will not be paid now as I see it. I am out of practice with the Bahrain labour laws now since I was there last in 2012.
Contact Smita Nair at 00973-33234276/ 33937300 she was my assistant when I was there and presently involved in HR department. Give her my reference.

I think the best option now is to sit quiet, seem amiable to all including seniors and HR department and somehow finish the end of contract date in September. Though they may not be relieving you 2 months in advance they will surely have to pay you for the period. Nothing can be done my friend. I can understand your frustration, but the company is entitled under Bahrain laws. Taking back resignation will not serve any purpose too as they have found out your intentions which is not to continue.
Try sweet talking to HR department for pleading your case for end of term gratuity which is 15 days basic for every completed year of service (if my memory serves me right).

You will get gratuity as per the new law.... also the company may also not renew your visa since you will leave in two months time period
