My Date of Birth is 03-03-1950. I became a member of Family Pension Fund 1971 member in November 1975 and deductions were made from my salary up to November1995 and then the deduction was stopped since this got merged with EPS1995.
I retired in September 2001 on Voluntary retirement scheme. At the time of retirement I opted for reduced pension and availed commutation of 1/3 of pension. The basic wages considered for pension at the time of my retirement was Rs. 6500/- p.m
I am getting a pension of Rs.546/- p.m and I do not remember the commutation amount received at the time of retirement.
I would like our friends to clarify with details of calculations, the amount of pension I am eligible for and the amount payable as commutation amount.

It is clarified that after the EPS'95, your pension contribution would not have been discontinued. Since you have only nearly 6 years contribution in the EPS'95 and you already commuted 1/3 pension, the calculation of pension has been rendered complex. It is also not known as to which option you had exercised while opting for commutation. The better option would be to visit the RPFC Office that is making the pension payment for the purpose or alternatively submit an RTI application to the local PF office seeking all particulars which you are seeking and you are to be replied with details within 30 days. With the details, if you come back to this forum, we would be in a better position to clarify/help.
