Recently employee A completed his MBA and had got a salary hike of 20%, basis his performance, which is assessed as met expectations. After that only he has started updating his profile in several job sites, mentioning that he is looking for better opportunity.
Upon asking, mentioned he has updated his last hike and he is happy with present organization. However, its been now a repeat action by the employee, and coming as a red case in every early working signal report.
If,Organization needs to take an action as it is instigating others also to update their resume while working, what kind of action can be taken as per the Organizational process of managing attrition.

Dear Moumita,
Career advancement is the natural desire of the average professional. How can you take action against an employee for having updated his CV on the job portal? You can take action only for the misconducts defined in the standing orders of your company. Updating one's CV is no way misconduct.
If you take action against an employee then it would prove that you have pried on his personal activities. This is a breach of his privacy. How can you justify that?
By the way, when you fill the positions, do you not call the candidates who are already employed? The companies of those candidates were liberal and did not take action for having uploaded their CV on the job portal. It is their liberal attitude has helped your company in filling the job vacancies. You wish employees from other companies to join you but you don't want your employees to join them!
Please note that recruitment is a one-way street.
Thanks,

""After that only he has started updating his profile in several job sites, mentioning that he is looking for better opportunity.""
As mentioned by learned member above, no offence has been committed by employee.
On the contrary your organisation needs to look inward and try to analyse why a person who has got increment etc is looking for alternatives?
Was increment not as per industry standards?
Is there any kind of lacking in work atmosphere that people look for exit route.
Anyway updating of profile is pretty normal activity for employees, no breach of law can be made out of this routine updates.
Best is to ignore but make attempts to analyse any negative sentiment among employees to working setup and atmosphere.
