Read an amazing article in HBR today on "how to fix HR". The author is an accomplished person and is talking about how the role of HR should be towards "maximizing organisational performance". He suggests 5 basic means that should be followed in the company to make HR as a strategic partner. The steps are aimed at deriving more value from HR department. I highly recommend reading this one page article.
The steps to be followed are what the strategic management should do and what helps the HR department should do to make HR department as the most important and most effective function in the organisation.
