I would like to know the leave practice for Hotel industry as per ACT (Shops & Establishment Act) for KARNATAKA, TELANGANA and HARYANA. Kindly update.

Hi Daniel,
Leave is applicable as per S & E Act to all employees.
In Karnataka you need to give 1 Paid Leave/ Earned Leave (PL/EL) for 20 working days of work and 12 Casual leave cum Sick Leave (CL/ SL) per year. 10 National festival Holiday under Karnataka National & Festival Holidays Rules.
In Telangana, 12 casual leaves,12 sick leaves and 15 earned leaves per year.
In Haryana - 1 Paid Leave/ Earned Leave (PL/EL) for 20 working days of work and 7 casual leaves, 7 sick leaves

Please suggest leave policy to be applied in Tamil nadu hotel industry?
Can you also tell me the process if we ask employee to wok on national holiday. One day C off and payment isnt?
How many festival holidays we should give 9 or 10 in Tamil Nadu?

Hi Srijana, Yes. Maternity Benefit act is applicable to hotel industry also as per Maternity Benefit Act
