Dear Suchita Haval,

You have raised the query the information provided is too inadequate to give suggestions. Please confirm to us the following:

a) The nature of projects your company handles, whether the projects are for the clients or your company's projects (like civil construction projects), etc.

b) Where the site(s) are located? How far are these away from your company? What is the mode of conveyance used by the employees?

c) Will the female employee travel alone or she could be accompanied by other male or female employees? What is the designation of the female employees who travel to the site? What could be the duration of their stay at the site?

d) If the projects are for the client(s), then what facilities does the client provide to your company? Is accommodation provided by the client?

e) While making the contract with the buyer, do you insert a clause on women's safety?

f) Have you spoken with the male employees who travel to the project site? Considering the nature of the work, what additional precautions needed to be taken for the women employees? With whom do the female employees deal? Will they be required to deal with the labour class?

You can design the policy based on the above questions.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
