Hi,
I got joining letter from one of the MNC in banglore on Monday. My access card is also made but on Friday when I went to office HR told me that " Your Educational background verification is failed so you are terminated"
I don't understand what went wrong as everything is OK. I have all the proofs and documents but HR do not entertain me. She also did not pick up my calls/do not replying my mails.
As I don't have access card now I can not enter into company.
Please some one please advice me what to do in this case ?

Hi Krish,
May I suggest that in the first instance you write a polite letter to the Head of HR asking for feedback on the verification carried out by the company, as you are not aware of any issues.
Secondly, get confirmation from the educational establishments that you attended, just in case there is something wrong.
Finally, send the confirmations to the company and ask to be re-instated.
I hope the above helps.
Regards,
Harsh

Thanks Harsh for your reply...
I already write a polite email to HR but she did not replied to that. I send around 3-4 emails but still did not get any reply. Called on desk but she directly told that I do not want to talk with you, you are terminated now.
They did not send me any termination letter just told orally.
I am trying all the things to convey my issue to HR but they are not responding.
Can you suggest anything else ?

Hi Krish,
The only course of action I can now suggest is that you write to the CEO in letter format, not email.
Other than that seek out new employment.
No need to whip a dead horse !!!
I wish you the best,
Regards,
Harsh

Dear Mr Krish,

I am HR practitioner in core areas including Background check verification. I have been in this field for almost a decade. I shared my experience in conducting the background verification in this forum. You may go through my mails if you are interested. I have vetted for and against many candidates for valid substance and actual feedback in the employment and educational history. No responsible HR person in any organisation worth the salt will take termination action against any employees without any valid reason.

This forum will not be able to assist in meaningful way, because no one has a magic stick to know, examine and determine the level of integrity and honesty of any profile or any individual. Please introspect your actual educational background and the details you provided to the company. Some thing would have gone wrong that you may not be able to share in this cite. That's fine. You only know what you are and what is the actual educational background. If you are 100% clean then please write to the company top HR executive and seek an answer or response.

All the best. If you have erred in details or in the educational qualification, please change to the original one with determination that you will not do it again. It is better to come clean at younger age rather than try to cover up ever. World is small and we are connected in way or other.

Dear Krish,

It is unfortunate that your background check failed.

This is something very serious and if you are absolutely sure that your credentials are correct then you can do the following.

Background check companies can always make an error/ HR department can also make an error and even universities who are reporting on verification request can also make an error.

1. Reach out to any reputed background screening company of your choice and get a verification for your own credential.

2. Ask HR to provide you proof of verification since they claim that it has failed. You have right to this information since these is your own credentials as what you claim.

3. If there is a difference in both results and as claimed by you, your credentials are correct then you can go to court and seek relief regarding this issue.

4. If otherwise then remember that their can be criminal charges filed against you as well.

So if you are absolutely sure then you can proceed further as per your best judgement.

Good luck.

This incident is laughable and I am feeling bad for you.I think You have joined a bad organization where the HR people are Insane.
Dear if they questioning your educational documents they are not accusing you,Indirectly they are accusing your University.
I would advise you that update your CV and join somewhere else because right now you are working in such condition where you wont be able to perform as well as this situation will be causing tension for you and it can lead you to depression.
Also keep all your follow ups with your HOD and Hr dept. in soft or hard copy as a proof so that you can approach labour court in case they harass you.I would also like to add that it seems they want you to exit the company. If they would have been willing to take your services then they must have suggested you some way out.So its better to leave them now and start your new job with a fresh and determined mind.
Best of Luck !!!!

As you have mentioned that they informed you orally only; even they are not ready to give you proper response after receiving emails from you then consider that they have internal reason not to hire you in which you are not at all responsible. Generally MNCs are very strict towards their policy, ethic and process. But apart from all this, I think it'll be better try to look for another opportunity rather than wasting your valuable time. Also I would like to mention, for your satisfaction purpose you contact with any background verification company and take verified certificate from them. But don't go to challenge that MNC because if I'm not wrong they have the power to blacklisted you(though I am not sure about this I have merely heard from public).
In closing, wish you all the very best for your better future.

What would be the process for BG is it only calling the previous employer and find out whether the new employee has worked over there in spite of submitting credentials like bank statements,form-16 etc. I don't understand how could people just say a mouth of word without giving any kind of proofs.
