Hi All, I'm a 2016-2020 batch BTech student from a state university. I had a backlog in the 3rd Semester which I could not clear till the 7th Semester so I had to write the exam in March 2021 (Exams were delayed badly because semesters were running late due to covid.) I was very very confident that my exam would get cleared this time so I started applying for jobs from April 2021. I got an opportunity to appear for the Infosys exam on 16th May 2021 so I gave it and cleared it (still waiting for backlog exam result). I went for the interview and got the joining date for 21 June 2021. We had to confirm our joining before 21st so I confirmed it hoping the result will be in my favour as the exam went well and I would have a provision degree certificate with 2-3 weeks of joining.

However, the results were announced on 23 June 2021 (After more than 3 months ) and I got the exact same marks as my previous attempt meaning I couldn't clear the backlog.

Now, I have applied for re-evaluation but that process would definitely eat up 2 months. even if re-evaluation would not help I will have to appear for the next exam i.e on December-January and will get results by March 2022. Please guide me as to what I should do.

Also, how much time do we have to submit all our documents and what problems can I face if I have a degree of 2021/2022 instead of the expected 2020?

This is a question that you need to ask the HR of your employer How do you expect outsiders to answer what time the company will allow?
