Dear All,
I Have a query kindly solve it !
We already been inspected by an ESI Officer, all the papers have been presented and the inspection has been done as per the esi rules on our Main ESI CODE a month before. But a day before an another ESI officer came to our head office in Delhi where we are having our Sub Code, without any prior iformation and issued us a notice for the inspection.
Is it true that even though the inspection has been done on MAIN CODE the inspector can inpect on our SUB CODE also.
Kindly help me because as per me once the inspection has been done on MAIN CODE than there is no need to undergo inpection on hte SUB CODE..

Hello Tara There is nothing in the ESI Act Which disables an ESI Inspector from visiting your premises, be it code or sub code centre. The veracity of any statement or information furnished can be verified by them as per law. Unless motives are attached which is very difficult to prove, exception cannot be made to such unwelcome visits. Bear with them and find a way out to tackle them. Thanx KK Nair

Thanx Mr. Nair, i am working on that and again i have prepared and scrutinized all the papers, i am ready for the inspection. but it is also a fact that b'coz of some unclearity in our law there always remains a dilemma.
Although thank you very much.

esic inspection of main code does not exempt the branch office sub code inspection.
and u dont have to worry at all, only arrange the MSC-01 monthly returns, form 5 monthly returns, form 7 , wage register and muster roll . very importantly, the production of books of accounts can be avoided by submitting a letter to the concerned inspector that the boooks of accounts shall be produced to the department from the Head office.
As for the books of Accounts and Profit and Loss, any ESIC inspection is as easy i suppose
thanks and regards

Sir,
Kindly intimate as to what is the name of "Form 7 Register" under ESI Act/Rules/Regulations alongwith its Form. Now, after introduction of online procedure, some returns etc. have been discontinued by the ESIC. Hope, you may confirm the position from Branch Office of ESIC to which your unit is attached.
