I need some guidence in making my research report which has to be made on an issue or problem faced by an HR Department. The topic which i chose was the challenges faced by an HR Department in its intial establishment stage but i didnt find any appropriate information in this regard. Plz help me out

Another excellent topic would be calculating ROI for HR interventions. While in most organizations, there is a clear understanding of how various line functions contribute to creating share holder value, there is a lot of ambiguity about how the HR department adds value to bottom lines. What we desperately need is a concrete quantifiable way to measure HR value adds.
Theres a good book on this area by Brian Becker, Mark Huselid and Dave Ulrich called The HR scorecard - linking people, strategy and performance.

1- Failure in realizing the due importance of HR practices
2-Non strategic approach of the organization management, which will results in costly failure of plans
