Dear Sir, We are a manufacturing unit under the Factory Act of Chandigarh. So we are paying 12+10=22 (10 Calendar Holiday in Year) PL (Privilege Leave/Leave Encashment) in cash or he/she can avail it in the same month and will not extend it further.
So now I want to make a policy for this.

Please give your valuable suggestions or is there any standard format?

Factories Act is a central act. Therefore, leave calculation ( Annual Leave ) is common to all States all over India, It is 1 day leave earn for every 20 days of work. Please go through Chapter -VIII - Annual leave with wages Sec -79 of Factories Act for detailed clarification.

Over and above either by Co's policy, Standing Orders ( certified / model ) , Surrounding industry culture there may be festival leave, casual leave etc. Usually if the employees are covered under ESIC - then sick leave is as per ESIC rules & regulations etc.
