Hi Kranti,
This is a very nice initiative and honestly, you can have 'N' number of games.
However if you plan to have team building exercises along with some free time, I would suggest you to play management games.
Ensure that the teams are made by people coming from all the different departments if possible...
Games you can play are-
1. Concentration:
It is a 1 minute game kind... played by 2 teams at a time..
Make 1 of the team players stand in a row... the other team will check all the members in the team... give them about 30-40 sec to observe the participating team.
Thereafter the observing team turns arounf for 1 min.
In this 1 min time, the participating team will change something about their appearance - like change the jewellery, swap watch, add/remove glasses, etc.
At the end of 1 min, the observing team turns back and will give the changes the participating team has incorporated... 1 point for correct ans... no negative marking
the team that scores the more points will win
2. Take Up What You Need
This has to be played simultaneously..
Bring toothpick boxes and ask each employee to take as much as they need.
Set a limit of 1-5 picks (each one of them has to take atleast 1 tooth pick and nobody can take more than 5 toothpicks)
You do not have to disclose what will they have to do further... Just let them take the toothpicks first and assemble...
Also one will have to keep a note on who take how many toothpicks.
Once all are done taking toothpicks, call the members one by one and ask them to share as many number of facts of themselves as the number of toothpicks taken.
This will really help in knowing each other better and helps building stronger bonds.
3. Signal
You should have teams in odd number so that you can divide the team in half and have 1 captain to lead
The sub teams stands in a row like we do in tug-of-war
Each participant occupying 1 tile / 1 position.
There should be no vacant tile in between any of the team members of the same team.
There should only 1 vacant tile between the two teams...
so the position becomes as follows
... A A A A A [ ] B B B B B .....
The captain will be heading the group And his responsibility is to ensure the team becomes -
B B B B B ... [ ] ... A A A A A
For this note that He will have to ask the team A and Team B members how to go forward.
None of the team members can go backwards, they can move only forward...
No member can overlap their same team member - meaning A2 cant overlap A1 and go further...
However they can overlap the other team member - A2 can over lap B1 / B2
We need to give a max time of say 5 or 10 min depending on number of people in team.
Team who takes minimum time to solve this puzzle wins.
Hope this helps.
All the best...
