Dear Experts/Members,

Please help me out in this long-standing issue I'm facing. My employer had by mistake entered another employee's bank a/c and PAN number in KYC page of new EPFO website. When I noticed the same and pointed it out, they said that it is a mistake during manual upload by them, and asked me to enter correct bank a/c number, PAN and Aadhaar myself and they'll approve the same. They also said that once they approve the newly updated KYC, the older KYC (incorrect KYC of other employee) will automatically be deleted. Accordingly, I updated my correct KYC and employer approved them using digital signature.

But now the KYC page is showing both older details and new details - i.e. KYC page is showing 2 bank a/c numbers (one mine, one other employee's), my Aadhaar, and other employee's PAN.

My question is - how to delete the incorrect KYC from the EPFO page? There is no delete option on the page, both for employee and employer.

Please help what to do.

Thanks in advance.

Dear Revk
nothing to worry. There is no option to delete Multiple KYC uploaded & Approved through Digital Signature. When you apply for withdrawal, Withdrawal amount will be credited to Account Number mentioned in the Cancelled Cheque leaf attached to the withdrwal Application & Bank Details mentioned therein.
Similarly, when you Submit, IT Form No 15G together with Self attested Photo Copy of pan Card, details mentioned therein will be taken on record. You need not worry about wrong KYC Lying in the portal, since you have already uploaded correct KYC

Thank you, Shreenath, for the clarification.
I have uploaded my correct bank a/c number, but I could not upload my PAN (since other employee's PAN is already accepted against my name and portal is not accepting 2 PANs). Will this be okay? I had read somewhere on EPFO website that if KYC does not match the persons' name, then PF withdrawal will not be allowed.
I wish to leave the current company and join another company where I have offer, but I'm afraid of leaving with this PF issue hanging.
Thanks.

letest approved KYC is valid, older would not get considered by the department

On similar line, an old PF account - before the online era- case facts: 1) KYC is not updated 2) wherein DOB is entered incorrectly by employer, hence no access online 3) Employer not supportive 4) Employee services terminated, 2years ago and employee is currently 58 years. How can the employee proceed claims. Shashi

meet the helpdesk or pro of EPF, if the employee can establish that he is the genuine and bonafide beneficiary holder of the specified epf account, then the signature of bank manager of the employee will work

thanks Sharma. Kindly clarify a doubt.....If it involves two different states, employee work desk and employer epfo. Can sending registered ad with all requisite documents and proofs to epfo help or personal visit is must.

Date of Birth furnished to PF Office will be taken on record.Date of birth mentioned in Aadhaar will not be taken in to consideration. But if there is mismatch of Name in PF Record vis a vis Aadhaar card, Aadhaar can not be linked.please upload Aadhaar card & find out actual reason & decide further course of action. What is the Correct name of EPF Member, DOB matters most based on documentary Proof.
