Professional Tax - how much deduction on per year and per month basis under factories act rules and regulations in Tamilnadu?
To my knowledge, Professional Tax is not governed by the provisions of the Factories or the Regulations, but on the basis of the norms laid down by the respective State Government. Unlike other States, where PT is being levied by the Commercial Tax Department, In Tamil Nadu (and Kerala) the levy is collected by the Local Bodies.
