INDIA, the world’s largest democracy, is a vast country that ranks seventh largest in the world; with an area of about 3.2 million sq. miles.

· Indian chemical industry ranks 12th by the volume in the production of the chemicals and their high quality competes with the best and has USA and Europe as its major market.
· India has emerged as a global supplier and is 9th largest exporter of dyes and dyestuffs.
· Indian textile export is largest net foreign exchange earner and accounts for 27% of total export of India.

Then, what is holding India back? Not resources….; Not enterprise…..;
The real problem is that far too many people have no idea of what tey can do because they do not know that the whole world of riches as natural resources and potential is available for them waiting to be put to use.
So, let us be awake to see our own strengths. India is fortunate to be blessed with many resources of bio-diversity, material resources and above all human resources and a billion people are our resource, a powerful resource that is mightier than any resource; on the earth, in the sky or under the sea. In a way, god has provided us with excellent installed capacity. But, at the end of day what matter is not the potential but the performance; the management and efficient use of resources.
We have to build upon these strengths. We cannot now allow things to slip. In an environment that presents so many opportunities we can iilafford to miss anything anymore. India’s core strengths and competencies assure that India can excel and usher in a new era and an emerge as a global power.
And be country of MANPOWER—HUMAN RESOURCES---but not of population only.

Hi,
The HR Manager must first be a good and proud citizen of his country, having positive feelings towards the country and the people. Only then he can effectively contribute for the human resource development within his organization. The organization is nothing but a constituent of the society and the pride the HR person takes in being the citizen of his country is relevant, and essential.
