New to the forum....this is my first post....
i am the Managing Director of “Outdoor Education Trust (OET)” an unique organization, using Outdoors/ Adventure and nature as a medium for education / personal development.
OET is intrested in mutually beneficial tie-up with Human Resource Management consultants, towards executing Outdoor Management Development Programs (OMDP).
Outdoor Management Development Programs (OMDP) are corporate applications of the principles of Outdoor Education and Adventure-Based Experiential Learning (ABEL).
These programs are highly effective as they function as a developmental vehicle to instill various strengths towards an efficient work atmosphere and therefore are greatly successful in enhancing various managerial skills like communication, crises management, leadership, initiative, teamwork etc.
What do we do on an OMDP?
A typical OMDP taking place in a alien environment of outdoors, involves a number of games and activities, which are executed by well trained and experienced Outdoor Professionals, designed along the guidelines of ABEL, to simulate various scenarios through which a good understanding of one’s strengths and weaknesses can be ascertained.
Activities like rock climbing, rappelling, Survival Rafting etc, are designed for participants to confront their fears, encourage and support their team members through these dynamic experiences.
Various Games like ‘SpiderWeb’, where teams coordinate their efforts to deliver team members through awkward obstacles
These programs need an equal input of a external HR facilitator / Trainer. The facilitator / Trainere demonstrates how the experience is actually a metaphor for a real life situation and helps participants to review their strengths and weaknesses from their actions in the game or activity .... thus develop their communication, leadership, team-work, initiative, strategy planning skills....This is where you as a Human Resource Managment Trainer come in.
OET is in position to provide the Outdoor / Adventure Medium ... all over India and in any category of adventure / Outdoors. We are also developing a Outdoor Centre in Panchgani / Mahabaleshwar.
We have worked and are working with Multinational companies like...P&O Nedlloyds, T-Systems (Deustch Telecom, Germany), Taj Hotels & Resorts etc.
Along with the qualified and experienced core team, Prahlad Kakkar (Adman), realizing that Outdoor Education is an incomparable medium for a better future for our society, supports and executes an essential role as the Managing Trustee of Outdoor Education Trust.
