I am interested in hearing funny or strange excuses that employees have used as the reason for not coming to work. For example, I was told recently that "I was in jail" and another said "I cant come to work today ...when i said why what happened she made me on hold for two minutes and forgot to press the hold button and was asking her friend "what reason shall i give "hahahaha that was really the funniest one i ever had it ..
What have you heard from your employees?

Common excuses for not coming to work given by most of the employees is my granny expired , grandpa expired , my cousin met with an accident , I am seriously sick ,court case Or otherwise for a long leave it is , I have to go to my native place for Property dispute , brother's marriage , cousin marriage .

Hi i am searching for new reason so i can get 1 day leave from my office.
Also note that i have tried all reasons above my boss not agree to give me leave. He always say i will cut pay from your salary if you go for leave, but now i am really tired. please suggest me. thanks

I wish I could take leave just saying I want to take a day off - to chill out, or just today I am in no mood to work etc..I wish it is high time companies should approve this one reason also as valid as husband sick...
I don't want to lie nor I want to always have some more important personal work to take a off from office work.
Greatest luxury in life is sometimes just waking up in the morning and realising though it is a weekday it is my day which I will plan just as my imagination takes me on...
My weekends are also quite planned,hectic ,infact more hectic then weekdays with numerous activities and so once in a while I feel this need to take a day off just without any agenda...
Has any one ever felt like this ?:confused:
