Hi friends,
I am working with an Engg concern and facing a big problem in recruiting the right kind of candidates. I use the job sites for screening and shortlisting the profiles. After shortlisting the profiles and having a preliminary discussion with the shortlisted candidates I speak to the concerned manager and fix an app. for interview and then let the candidate know about the interview date. I also send a mail to the shortlisted candidates regarding the interview date, time and venue and inturn ask them to send me a confirmation mail once they receive my mail. But some candidates are like that they send me the con mail but still they do not turn up for the interview.
How to avoid such issues.. I require ur feedback.....
Regards

Hi Sowmya,
'No Shows' are common issue during the Rec process.
I suggest U have enough back profiles. Also talk to those who didnt turn up & check their alternate availability, if feasible conduct a first level telephonic Interview & call him for the second round in person, he is for sure to meet you as per the schedule.
Cheers,
Naveen

Hi Sowmya,
It happens for such industry type, as all r rushing for a position in IT/ITES companies. As Naveen said, u cud try his suggestions n shall also goahead with the consultancies having relative no. of candidates to lessen the burden in ur reruitment process.
Best iof luck
