Hi, Currently I am working as Tech Lead in one of the reputed MNC. My onboarding happened in covid 19 lockdown (Year - 2020). At the time of joining I have provided documents that were available on mail also before joining (3months notice period of the previous employer), BGV was started but one of my companies (second last) was shut down and I don't have any docs. (As it was my friend for whom I was creating software but it didn't work out) After 10-15 days of onboarding, the company asked me for that doc I told them that I don't have any docs for that as it is shut down.
They repeatedly pressurised me for that so I told like I will try to get doc. In all this, a month passed then I called HR and asked her to clear me on all this and why all docs were not being asked before joining, if it is not working out cancel my joining she replied that will check and back to you later they made my status as green from amber and said this was asking now for client BGV. Now after completing 1 and a half year I want to quit this company whether this BGV status creates an issue for me for reliving smoothly?

Dear Colleague,
Based on the given information and BVG came as Green, then there will be no problem in your relieving at all. Normally BVG is for a reference point to check credentials of employee and that ends with the current employer.
However next employer will do independent BVG once again. Hence try to het the document from that Past employer or else modify your resume and show remark that " No Certificates available due to company locked". While you fill-up your employment forms in future employments mention such remark. As long as you declare the fact at the very initial stage itself, there will not be any challenges.

Thank you for your help.
But it is not marked as 'Green' instead it is marked as 'Green from Amber' which means as 'Documents are yet to receive' as per google search. Whether they will provide me required docs like experience/ reliving letter at the time of seperation? As googling suggested that all docs should be gathered before joining and if not then how they approved me to work? Employment should have been terminated at that point. As i mentioned in mail that 'I don't have any doc except experience letter which is already shared. Please provide your decision on it.' they didn't reply anything on it and tasks were assigned to me by manager.

Dear Colleague, The required guidance is already given. You need to take your own judicious decision in this matter after meeting and having discussion with your HR.

I think your company is a body shopper
It appears (from what you have posted) that you are supposed to be put on a new assignment with a client who is asking for those documents to be verified before you are allowed to work for them.
In view of the above, your employer is asking for the missing document. If you don't give it, then they will need to bench you again till a different client is willing to take you in spite of the document gap. I do not know the details of the company so I can't comment on the impact of this. But it is possible they may terminate you on some ground if they can't place you soon.
If the company was of a friend, get a complete set of documents from them and use them for the current and future BVGs
