I just want to ask any body have any clarification regarding the said thing by our FM as she said 3 month relief for both employers and employee, the amount willbe deposited by the government only. So as from her speech she said "UPCOMING THREE MONTHS" so my questions are -

1. What are those upcoming 3 months ? March, April, May or April, May, June ?

2. After that speech i didn't see any circular from epfo related to this topic that what has to be done by employers either they ahve to deposit the challan or not ? or What procedure we have to adopt for the relaxation provided ?

My company is fulfilling all the things as said by FM that 90% of the employees should be less than 15000/- and employees should be less than 100.

Please answer to this as I have to make salary according to this only.

Suggestions needed ASAP.

Thankyou.

Dear Yes , If your organization comes in above all criteria than you have to make the salary accordingly .

Please wait for the circular from EPFO to come. The Finance Minister can announce anything but the implementation side which is more difficult is to be taken care of by the respective Govt department, in this case EPFO. There are a lot of companies who contribute PF on salary without considering the ceiling of Rs 15000. In that case the contribution payable by the employee and employer will be huge amount. Will the government bear this amount? If YES, why should the government bear it?

Thanku mam.
But we can't wait that much because my employees are asking for salary and I don't know should I deduct PF from there salary or not.
And we have to make challan or not !!
Nothing has been cleared yet they say pay the salary as soon as possible.

I have received the following mail from EPFO office.
Dear Employer,
Govt of India will pay contribution of both employer and employee (12% each) for next three months if your establishment has upto 100 employees and 90%of them earn less than Rs.15000/- pm. It will benefit you financially and also maintain continuity of employees on your payroll. Please ensure paying salary to all employees and filing ECR on time to avail this facility.
With Regards,
EPFO, BHUBANESWAR
If you have not received any communication from EPFO office, you can deduct the employee contribution and later you can refund the contribution to respective employee if you take this benefit.
