Can anyone provide info if we can use binding wire for tieing planks in scaffolds. And if so can i also know the dia of the binding wire as per the IS standard. it would also be great if anyone can provide the IS specification doc for scaffolding

Hi every one
Thank you very much for the replies. I got some info from your valuable feedbacks.
But one this is still confusing me is, On the scaffolding we use wooden plank as base, can this wooden plank be tied up with binding wire to the scaffolding.
If yes what should be the size / dia of the binding wire.
If no, what are the other type of wires that we can use.
I do appologise of i am asking many questions. Just to make myself clear
do not think otherwise

For tying the wooden planks/boards, rope is preferred. I have not come across with the tying of binding wire. IS 2750 (scaffold) does not specify on the use binding wire for such use. Pon

I don’t have any such HIRA for IT sector. Go thru IS 15656 - Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis - Code of Practice. You can pick up the concepts and tailor it to your needs. Pon
