I'm 59; I was working for a private organisation from April 2006-Oct 2016 (10.5 years). Got PF settlement in Full. About Pension, when I applied for Final Withdrawal, I am told I can get only the Scheme Certificate. My only-nominee would be my married daughter, 31 years. I need to re-apply for Scheme Certificate and get it with the nominees details incorporated.
1) Understand that the Scheme Certificate becomes payable at the demise of the the Pensioner. Is that right please?
2) Am I eligible for Monthly Pension?
3) What is the purpose of Form 10-D?

1) NO, it is not at all right the Scheme Certificate becomes payable at the demise of the the Pensioner.beside the Scheme certificate is use to issue from the epfo when the member could contribute for the 10 years but couldn't complete the age of 58 years.
2) definitely you will be eligible for the pension.
3)the purpose of From 10-d is to claim the pension.

Dear Mr. Royce,
Mr. Ravi Bele has already replied to your post. However, I wish to add something for more clarity. Pension is payable to the nominees of the member after his death, spouse and dependent unmarried children upto the age of 25.
Your daughter is married and not dependent upon you thus not eligible for any pension.

Suresh
