Hi Garima, Before working out the break up its imperative to know the process of leave accumulation. Do all 18 leaves can be carried forward to next year? Amit Goyal

Hi Garima,
If there is no carry forward or encashment then you cant categorize these in EL as EL have to be carried forward and encashed too mandatorily. You may only categorize the 18 leaves into CL and SL. You may give 12 CLs and 6 SLs per annum.

Dear, Every company has its own leave policy which are made based on law of Shops and Establishment and Factory Act. Thereafter it can be changed as per the discretion of managment. Thanks, Chandan
Dear Garima,
Every company have its own leave policy. But as per law every company will pay for minimum 7 CL, 7 SL w.e.f. joining of the employee, employee can take two maximum at a time (if employee have medical certificate he can take more than tow) and maximum 15 EL but after completion of one year of job of the employee depending on the working days of the employee last year. you can calculate Earning leave as - total working days of the employee in last year /20 for example if any employee was present 200 days in last year he can take maximum 10 earning leaves. If any employee join from middle of the calander year the Casual and Sick leaves will be devided propornately.
