Hi Seniors,
Can you tell me what will happen when an existing EPF member doesn't link his Aadhar no with his existing UAN on or before 31st december?
Will the govt force him to submit Aadhar? Or he will no longer remain a member of epfo? His epfo account gets locked till the time he doesn't provide his Aadhar?
Any idea on the same?

Dear Anamika instead of asking Counter questions without any rationale, please go to nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center with relevant Documents. It is High time to get Aadhaar

Hello, It is recommended that you should link your Aadhar Number to UAN as the benefits that can be enjoyed by the employee will not be applicable to him.
Government is trying to get all the systems online.
Once Aadhar is linked you can transfer your UAN from your old company to your changed / Current company.
In near future, even withdrawal of PF will be processed online, which will be a great advantage to both the parties.

I don't know what's the problem with this forum - everyone likes to give suggestions read enforce their own opinion instead of answering a particular query.
Mr. Ram, I didn't ask you how to enroll for an Aadhaar or what's the benefit of linking Aadhaar. I think I know those pretty well. Is my query posted here very tough to understand?
Don't tell me everyone is doing something means I also have to do this. My query was what happens if I choose not to do it.
So if anyone has any serious idea about the repurcusssations can be then please enlighten me as I have no clue on that.
But please don't write i should do it blah blah blah. Stop giving answers based on what you do under a specific circumstances . So Mr. Ram instead of telling me what you have done or what you prefer to do tell me what might be the consequences if you know it at all.
Again, I'm expecting some views from the genuinely learned members of this community.

Dear Mr Anamika, unfortunately i am not in a position to predict consequences of Not Linking Aadhaar to various Schemes. You may have to wait till completion of deadline for linking.By virtue of My Qualification & industry experience, i suggest to follow the Rule of land.Further, i feel this forum is for knowledge enhancement, not for circumventing rule of law.You have to come out of your mental Blockage. As long as you remain anamika, you are living in a virtual World.Star living in Real World. As a citizen of this country, you are entitled to question any Law? not at this forum

Remain anonymous doesn't mean I'm living in a virtual world and the rule of the land says I have to link Aadhaar in order to get something, I never said that I will take the facilities without linking Aadhaar. I only said that if I don't want those facilities specified can the govt force me to link my Aadhar? If I don't want LPG subsidy can the govt force me to link my Aadhar?
You are mistaken. I am not against any law of the land. I'm in for it completely. But govt is saying I have to link Aadhar with UAN if I desire to remain a subscriber of EPS and EPF. That's fine with me. But what if I don't link it? Will I not remain a subscriber? That was my query. And avoid linking Aadhaar with anything doesn't make me a non law abiding citizen. Govt is saying if I have to have a bank account I must have an Aadhaar. If I don't link Aadhar then I can't have a bank account. I'm ok with it. But please understand this rule itself says that if I don't want to become a subscriber of any of the banks then I don't need to link Aadhar. And even if I don't have a bank account I still remain to be a law abiding citizen. And that was my question. Is there any such rule in case of epfo and Aadhar?
So again I'm requesting you that having a different view than you doesn't make me a non law abiding citizen.
Therefore you are most welcome to place your views here but please don't tell me what you believe in terms of linking uan with Aadhar as I'm not interested. If you know anything specific about my original query then you are most welcome.
Last but not the least please don't try to teach me how to follow the rule of the land.
I believe you either haven't understood my original question or you have, but you don't know the answer and hence sharing your own ways of thinking which I'm not interested to hear.
Thank you. Cheers..

Exactly, thanks for your input by the way. And here lies my question.
Being a subscriber of EPS I have to submit my Aadhaar. But what if I decide not to? Do I still remain to be a subscriber? Will they debar me? I will no longer remain a subscriber of EPFO?
What will be the consequences? That was my question? In each and every case where linking Aadhar is mandatory there is a clear provision of what will happen if someone doesn't link it, but I didn't find any such provision in case of EPFO?
Like if I don't link Aadhar with bank account the accounts will get freeze, if I don't link it with my pan it will be deactivated, if I don't link it with my mobile no it will be deactivated. My query here was what will happen if I don't link it with my UAN? Will it get deactivated? Or something else will happen?
I'm expecting your views on the same as I believe you know this scheme better than me.

Dear Anamika, before replying to your query, Please clarify your Statement " Being a subscriber of EPS, I have to submit my Aadhaar. But what if I decide not to? Do I still remain to be a subscriber?
As long as you are in Employment & by virtue of EPF & EPS Member you will continue to be Member irrespective of Non Linking of your Aadhaar Number
Consequent to Leaving Service, you will cease to be member of EPF & EPS
Yo can even withdraw EPF & EPS Accumulations by using Non Aadhaar withdrawal Forms
For availing Pension under EPS, Linking of Aadhaar/Submission of jeevan Praman Patra is Mandatory

Exactly sir. Here my query is. By virtue I have to remain a member of epfo since I have become once, and by law every epfo subscriber has to link Aadhar, isn't it?
So does that mean that I can't take a call that no I'll not link my Aadhaar? I'm an epfo subscriber and now by law I have to link Aadhaar. But you are saying irrespective of non linking of Aadhar I'll remain a subscriber. But how is it possible in this case? There is no provision mentioned in epfo now where I decide not to link my Aadhar. It's just like I have to do it, isn't it?
