Hi Bhoomika,

This policy cold be designed better only after the budget is fixed for it. Though, following are certain suggestions that you could look in to:

- A Card (with signatures from all employees) alon with a bouquet.

- Gift, depending on the budget.

- A get together where in all employee gather and cut the cake.

- A half day off on the bday; this policy gives employees enough time to spend with their family and friends.

- Coupons for shopping/ Lunch/ dinner with family could be another option.

Also, you could publish the name of the bday boy/girl on the notice board or intranet etc.

In our organisation, as of now we publish the birthdays of the month, send an e-mail to all on the day of bday.

We give away CRY cards and a bouquet; all employees get together and wish the person...and then the bday girl sings a song or entertain everybody in some or the other way..

It just gives every one break from work for few minutes.

January, 08 onwards we will introduce half day off on employee's birthday.

Hope all this information will help.

Dear Bhoomika,
Whatever budget/ process that you decide upon along with the management can be documented and published as a policy amongst the employees.

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Well u can design B'day policy depending most imp on Budget, then size of ur Orgn and No. of people working. Like as u have said u Plan to h've budget of Rs20000 p/m for B'day Celebartions and if nearly $0 people are working then Simply u can allocate Rs 500 on Each emloyees B'day Celebartion. Like every Month U can just put up on Notice Board of the Company Monthly B'days which are coming in particular month and put that list so that others can Also know that How many partys they gonaa h've in a particular month its gonaa b like gud Get2gther type and u can Celebrate half an Hr. or 15 min before ur office gets closed so not much time will be involved and every b'day can enjoy.

Like with Rs 500 u can Order a cake for nearly Rs 250, Rest 250 can be spended on on 3 big litres of pepsi and some Waffers. These three things can b From Emloyers side with Rs 500. Also if emloyeee wish 2 give bigger Party then HE/She may contribute additional sum for Sweets or samosas, patty etc.

Also u can email a greeting to employee on their B'day Just to make them Feel spl. as Egreetings cost nothing or u can Buy a card of Rs 20 and signed by all employees u can give. All depends on how much Budget u have and people working.
