Hi Sunil,
The best way to train candidates in English is to divide it into 3 groups: Spoken or Conversational English, Grammar & Voice and Accent. The broad category of this training programme could be Language Enhancement.
1. Spoken or Conversational English - should be situational based where you train them on the daily use of English; cover topics like Shopping for Groceries, Shopping for Clothes, Visiting a Doctor etc. and towards the end you can customize it and add Engineering terms as you wanted.
2. Grammar - Focus on the 8 parts of speech, do not go into details as this attention span can snap. Concentrate on the more important techincalities.
3. Voice and Accent - focus on neutralizing their accent, cover topics like jaw exercises, intonation, syllable stress, rate of speech etc.
Feel free to ask me for any further information that you would require. Hope this was of some help to you.
Kind Regards,
