I am 57 yrs old appointed in a private company, with a salary of rs.30 k pm. employer is deducting PF for other employees. Is it necessary to deduct PF to me. Can i a opt out of PF. pl carify

if the employee has old UAN / any EPF account from any service , then he can not be excluded from EPF, but to continue the membership
if the employee has no such relation with EPF, then he has to declare the same in form 11, and make an request to employer , for his willingness to not participate in EPF

if the company is covered under PF, then applicable to all salary earners. no exit or opt out for any employee who already have an UAN
thanks sir i dont have UAN, earlier where i was working he was not deducting or he was not showing my salary in payroll. this employer wants show me in payroll.

When you joined the company, if your salary was above ₹15,000 and you did not have PF account at any time before (that is any running PF account), then you can opt out.
If you joined earlier but the company is now covered under PF and your salary on that day was above ₹15,000 then also you can opt out
In all other cases, you have to be covered in PF

As per shaswat Banerjee, "If you joined earlier but the company is now covered under PF and your salary on that day was above ₹15,000 then also you can opt out" is not correct.
When the establishment covered under EPF act, when the member has earlier PF membership, establishment should deduct PF up to Rs. 15 K. There is no option, not to deduct.
