Dear Sirs,

I had joined an organization a few months back and worked there for 23 days and then left. They gave me salary and game me a kyc compliant UAN.

But in my present company where I joined on 19th January I didn't show that earlier experience and I asked them to generate a new UAN.

I know when they will try to generate a new UAN and put the KYC they will come to know that my KYC details are already linked with another UAN no, so that means I was a member of EPF earlier, but will they also come to know the no unless I tell them myself. Or by using the Pan/Aadhar no they will come to know my previous UAN no.

I have gone through the UAN user Manual for Employer and the last paragraph states and I quote :

"If employer declares an employee as a fresh new employment and provides Aadhaar/PAN at the time of registration, if the same Aadhaar/PAN is already seeded with some UAN, the employer will be prompted that this KYC is already seeded with some UAN and employer has either to provide UAN or register without KYC. However, after registration, the employer can seed same KYC with new UAN. "

It says that "the employer will be prompted that this KYC is already seeded with some UAN". Does this 'some UAN' mean the UAN no itself? I mean Will it show the UAN no or it will show only that this kyc is already seeded with another UAN but the UAN no will not be mentioned there.

Please suggest me if anybody knows about it and I think I'm in trouble.

Sir, Even if I don’t disclose it still it can be collected? Then my present employer will obviously know my previous UAN

But sir, I understood your point, but to my question - what does it show if the PAN already exists in the database of UAN?
Does it show that this kyc is already seeded with another UAN or it shows this kyc is already seeded with 10********** (Uan No).
Please tell me

selecting the member has UAN, and keeping the uan blank but feeding all other data will collect the uan automatic

Sir, One more question - How to know which document is used for kyc.
The kyc section in my member portal is showing no document whatsoever, however my UAN card shows KYC : Yes.
Even I have given missed call to the ph no for balanced inquiry and in return I got sms that no kyc is there. But the UAN card says I'm kyc compliant.
It's happening since last 1 month. How to know which document is used

KYC is seeded but not verified digitally by employer,
if you want to remove that document from site, ask the past employer to reject that specific KYC
however from coming month it would get upfront seeded and there would be no role of employer to attach or detatch

And if it’s not digitally verified by the previous employer as you have mentioned in that case also if the new employer puts the kyc he will able to know the UAN?

yes, it will display that where it is seeded, though not verified, and unless it get rejected or cancelled from previous employer, he can not link new UAN and hence the employee can not be added to EPF.
it is the employee benefit program, if employee does not co-operate, then employer will leave it pending unless the employee clear the disputes,
if the employee offer his old uan, what is the prob? if there is any missing data, new employer can fill that also, i think it would go better for both employer and employee not to hide the things
