Hi All,
I see several posts on this forum/site asking for things like:
1. How do I make a leave form? Anyone has a sample?
2. How to make an appraisal form? Anyone has a sample?
3. I am in recruitment now. What should I do?
4. Am looking for material on Emergency Planning. Please mail me by the end-of-the-day...
5. Motivational quotes for all and so on...
6. Here is a good book. Please read it...
I am sure these are useful posts for those who are doing it, but for someone to ask for such trivia on a forum meant for practicing professionals... well, you can well think about how you justify your own existence in your roles...
Maybe its time to look at why HR people are 'frowned' at in their companies... Some months back we spoke on why HR fails in organizations. Seeing the incidence of these types of posts in this forum, I am pretty sure the answers are quite obvious.
Of course, we have a lot of intelligent posts too, but the major chunk is having a different focus.
This is a request to everyone to think and let me know. I love knowledge repositories, but I would like to hear from you all on their take on the matter: knowledge repository vs. intrinsic value addition.
No offense meant there friends.

Dear Mr. Nikhil
This site is started with a noble intention to assist HR People and share their challenges, Views, opinions, experiences, ideas, and to help the needy HRites.
But nowadays it has become a platform for those lazy people, who does not want to move out of their chair and simply post a question for request of forms, formats etc, and they get the same too.
I fear that instead of making the persons into intelligent person it is creating the lazy persons. Especially youngsters are not at all interested to move out from the room and gaining the knowledge will not lasts long. No pain No gain is not only said for wealth creation but also for knowledge developing.
Here, in this site, if we use this as knowledge sharing media then we all can be highly benefited but if we make the site as our assistant who can work on behalf us then our brain will be of no use. For simple forms or formats, we can simply get it from the shops concerned we can visit the concerned site and download the forms (PF, ESI, and other relevant sites) or approach the concerned office and collect the details which will be correctly designed for the state or locality, instead of throwing a question on this forum.
It is highly condemned that students seeking help to finish their project work which is to be submitted at the college. Here they can take guidance only and they can download the requisite details for their project is accepted but expecting the spoon-feeding for their articles are strictly avoided.
Thank you Mr. Nikhil for your Tapping and patting the youngsters (mis)using this site as they want to be a lazy.
Wish you All the best.

Actually there is a story regarding the helping
"In a Class Room the teacher was taking lesson on self help and for example he placed an egg of a bird and in the egg the crack formed and the bird's face came out and it was struggling a lot to come out. That time the teacher went out to attend someother work in school and one of the boy in class room just tapped the egg shell and helped the bird to come out from the egg shell (as like the MBA students seeks help and gets from some members and some new joinees in the company gets assistance from the site)
The Bird reached the stage of flying, the teacher was observing the same but the bird was unable to fly. Then by seeing the struggle of the Bird the teacher enquired the students about any disturbance made while it was coming out from the egg. Immediately the enthusiased boy got up and told that he was helped the bird to come out from the shell by breaking the shell
By listening the above incident, the teacher explained sorrowfully, that the boy was really trying to help the bird, but in the name of help he has spoiled the entire life of the bird. Now it cannot fly for its entire lifetime, because if it comes out in its own try means its body weight will be light and wings will be strong enough to fly but presently its body weight is more and its wings will not be strong enough to fly in the sky.
In this Forum also some are doing the so called help to the students and new joinees, which makes others to become lazy, and that laziness leads towards stoppage of their career growth.
We can guide them and help them in all the way but we should not do the spoonfeeding which is not at all advisable.

Thanks Bhaskar for such a nice example and food for thought for all of us.
Hi Nikhil, I don't think the whole blame should go to the new comers, HR professional who are in habit of copy and paste..actually it is us, the senior members of the forum who with a blink of the eye replies to each post even where we know that the question asked has been answered many times in the forum already. In fact there are members who themselves copy there replies from somewhere else and then post them here as their answers....What do you call it?
Why can't we make a stop to it like MR Simhan do...who has been consistently telling forum members to search for answers first. So, lets take the responsibility to put them on correct path...mails like this may not help anyone. They are good to read for sure but then does not show much of efforts.
We should make a stop to spoon feeding then it will automatically stop.

Dear Ms. Archana
Greetings
We cannot change the senior citizens and veterans, but we can create awareness and make them to understand, how to get developed in the competitive market. As it is in the present market for Administration/HR/IR/Facilities field going very tough, the youngsters must be the go-getters and keen on learning and acquiring knowledge even on trial and error method.
That's the intention of posting this thread (I hope I am right Mr. Nikhil), but not to hurt who are those helping. As a matter of fact Mr. Simhan is also correctly inducing them to search before posting such silly questions. I don't think Mr. Simhan is doing any wrong thing in fact he is guiding in correct direction.
Keep on enhancing the knowledge of ours Madam.

Hi Bhaskar..
Please read the post correctly, there is no mention of senior citizens anywhere, what we are talking about it Senior Members of the forum, who spoon fed the youngsters and they come back with more queries which can easily be searched...
Secondly..I am actually praising MR. Simhan...I said..he is the only one who is making effort to show a right direction to the new comers to Search..... We all should follow his path actually....
Knowledge enhancement is not copy and paste.....its always about efforts and errors...

Thanks Archna and Bhaskar for agreeing with what I do. Please see the posts at https://www.citehr.com/324807-project-report.html and see the project report with my comments to see the amount of cut or copy and paste that is there. I have seen the same with a number of our members' posts too.
Our ancestors never did that without acknowledging the source. However, the mad competitive world and the easy access provided by the internet has led the present generation to resort to such practices. I am only trying to do a bit to change the attidude.
Have a nice day.

Dear Ms. Archana
I have mentioned in my thread that we cannot change the Aged and experienced people only and I did not mention any member in specific or generic. Here in Mahabharat Lord Krishna has advised only to Arjuna and not to Yudhishtra, here Arjuna is considered as youngster and Yudhistra is considered as elderly persons and Sahadev is considered as children
Here I have not intended to hurt anyone (repeat) anyone. I have regards to the senior members and moderators.
I am only expressing my views and ideas and not posting anything to hurt anyone's feelings. If I do so, and if your feel so, really I am seeking apology.
I further inform you madam that I have not mentioned Mr. Simhan's name wrongly anywhere and further I assure you that I will not do so too.
Hope now the time has come for me to depart from this site and my station has come and I have to get down from the train of life.
Wish you all the Best
With warm regards
