First examine which is your appropriate Govt. for enforcement of minimum wages under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 & then go through the list of schedule employments for which the appropriate Govt. have fixed & notified the Minimum Rates of wages. You can also contact your local labour office for your query.

The applicable Minimum Wages for the unskilled category applicable to establishments under Central government is Rs 156. The minimum wages vary according to category A, B and C which are related to skill, occupation and location.
