I am a Bachelors Degree Graduate and Human Resouces practitioner in my country. However, when I migrated here in US, I know, I need to learn more on HR practices here in US. And I don't know where to start.

There is various university in USA which are providing full time or distance learning course on HR Management. I believe taht it would be more beneficial for ur career growth. u can go through all universities in your areas and try to find out related course in HR

I am not sure if this would be relevant for you since you are US, but i hope that it can throw some light on the things.
A year back i was planning to migrate to Canada. They have a professional body of HR Specialist called CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional). While as an immigrant you dont get very good jobs in the domain you want immideately, joining this organisation will help.
1) They have certificate courses which will teach you the basic HR practices etc in the country.
2) You get to interact with other professions in the same domain
3) Being a credible organisation, students carry a good reccomendations for the jobs.
Now i am not sure if the this organisation has an extended reach in US, you can research and find it. Possibly the same organisation or an organisation of same stature will be your best bet.
On the other hand, if you would are inclinde to join a college / university online degree is the least reccomended of the lot. Perhaps its better that you do a part time / weekend certificate course from various colleges as they carry more credibility than the online courses.

Hi, this brings me to a further general question about online degrees. I work in Africa and really want to know how credible are online courses in India, I mean 1. what is the perception of online graduates by the employers 2. online courses fit to which areas of study and work?
