Hi! This is related to switching career paths.. What would be your suggestion if some one who has a decent of say 6 years exp in Recruitment would like to now get all of the experience in other areas of HR. Would that be a right move to do? If yes, what kind of options and challenges would the person be facing

Dear Member,
Career Advancement & Growth is good..
In your case you can first start with Professional education in HR & IR, If you have specific degree then you need to advance yourself with current trends and policies to get clear picture.
There are two option which i suppose you can opt for:
1. Try for internal switch, discuss with your management about same and ask them to support you with this for career development.
2. Try with gaining knowledge and then proceed for interviews where the role includes both recruitment and other general activities.
You can also try with Start up where you can learn as well as apply your knowledge.
