1st: How much would it cost to implement an electronic attendance system?Is it user friendly??
2nd: I want to know the basis of calculating the employee cost if a company offers free accomodation in Mumbai?What parameters i need to consider.Plz throw some light with examples.
3rd: Can an employee enjoy privilege leave/annual leave before completing a year in service from the Date of joining?
4th:Under normal circumstances what is the average %ge of yearly increments in companies given to its employees?

1. Electronic Attendance System is costing around Rs. 20000/- to Rs. 70000/-
One is with Swipe card system. All members must be given with a swipe card which is costing around Rs.12/- per card and initial set up will be costing you around Rs. 20000 to 25000/- (Drawbacks - Others can swipe on behalf of you)
Second is Identity card. If you carry the card in your shirt pocket the sensors in the system itself will identify you and punch your attendance. It costs you from Rs.35000/- to 40000/- (Others can punch your attendance - but one cannot carry two cards in entry) Punching in and punching out both system implimented means the fraud can be wiped out. 1000 workers can be punched with a system.
Third is Face Reader System. It will be costing you upto Rs.70000/- at you can punch attendance with this system only for 700 workers. It will recognise the face eventhough you grow mustach or beard or clean shave.
Fourth is Finger print impression system. It may be less cost. but it is having some problem that If you get a cut in finger then It will not recognise your attendance.
2. Providing Free Boarding and Lodging conveyance etc are upto your company's rules and affordability, you can fix the same in consultation with your management.
3. You have to formulate your company's leave rules in consultation with your management as per the prevailing leave rules in market.
4. As per my concern, Annual Increments and Ex-gratias should be paid as per the performance of the employee and it should not be fixed as like government. If you fix, you cannot expect the outstanding performer to perform well. Whether you perform or not you will get your increments means the productivity will go down. This is my view only. You can analyse this way also while formulating the annual increments, ex-gratia and bonus in consultation with your management.

Anyways thanks again...However i still found most of your answers not to the point except for answer Number 1.
For question no 2 i m looking for a basis of calculation with regard to lodging facilities such as say cost of living index, real estate data etc so that i can arrive at scientific results to know to what extent it costs for an employee in Mumbai if we offer him free accomodation.I want to calculate exactly per person cost on accomodation .
For question No 3 i wanna know the prevailing rules in the market which u did not highlight with regard to Privilege/Annual Leave.
For question number 4 i need an average %ge say if all things remain constant and a company performs well what is the increment normally announed by companies.

Q-2 - You can contact the Labour Commissioner's office to have the details of Cost of Living Index, and contact some real estate/property dealers to know the cost of accomodation areawise and Plinth areawise to fix the rate or you can directly get the accommodation for your employees as per their cadres.
Q-3 - Almost majority companies are giving 8 to 12 days Casual leave and 15 to 30 days PL. As per existing rules 1 day leave to be given for every completed 20 working days.
Q-4 - As I already explained you, we should not fix the increment on automatic basis. This will lead the sincere workers to feel demoralised.
