Hi, As per process your Reporting Officer or Manager should prepare KRA for you. KRA is nothing but it is the comprehensive list of your key roles and responsibilities.

Dear Mr VM Lakshminarayanan,

You have written, "As per process your Reporting Officer or Manager should prepare KRA for you. KRA is nothing but it is the comprehensive list of your key roles and responsibilities".

The first part of your reply is correct. The second part "KRA is nothing but it is the comprehensive list of your key roles and responsibilities" is incorrect. If KRAs were to be just a comprehensive list of roles and responsibilities, then how far these would have been different from the JDs?

KRAs are designed to measure the work done in a time span. The drivers of measurement are quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, cost, accuracy, delivery time or turnaround time, capacity utilisation, customer satisfaction and so on. Each KRA must meet the SMART principle. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-bound.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
