Dear All,
I have completed PGDM specializing in HR in 2009 and since then have been working in Industrial relations department for a large construction company. I am seeking for an opening in HR in manufacturing sector. What chances do I have?
Regards,
Umashankar.

Hi Umashankar,
Can U kindly brief for your specific departmental change requirement? Do U find any difficulty to proceed with IR Department.
In fact IR is most interesting subject rather than HR.
What are U expeting in your profile after 5 Yrs of experince from Now?
Try to find out your goal rather than department or obstacle.

Dear Saroj,
First, Thanks for your comments. I going to explain herein, in my current position I am required to handle issues related to labours engaged at construction site. Work involves preparing wages as per govt. norms(labour commision). labour welfare, daily attendence, housekeeping & sanitation of labour colonies..., construction related statutory & compliance work etc. So, far this has been a good experience. However, it doesnot involve actual HR work like recruitment & selection, training-development, grievance management of staff of the company(this is carried by HR dept who are at a different level)..which i want to do as per my qualification. Expecting ur valuable comments.
regards,
Umashankar.
