Dear friends,
Employer contribution is 12% on employee salary. This include 8.33% contribution to Pension Scheme. In addition to this Employer has to pay 0.85% as admin charge, 0.5% as EDLI and .01 as EDLI admin charges. 12+0.85+0.5+0.01 = 13.36%

Hi Arun
PF contribution from both EE & ER is 12% + 12 % only. its not 12.36%. But for ER apart from the 12% contribution there is admin charges of 1.36% so for ER we will consider as 12%+1.36%=13.36%
As you said many companies are following as they include both EE & ER contribution into their CTC but not on the gross salary

Hi folks!
As many of you mentioned that the contribution of employer is 13.36%, but I know that the contribution of employer is 13.61%. The break up is delineated below:
EPF- 3.67% + EPS- 8.33% + EDLI- 0.5% + EPF & EPS Administrative Charges- 1.1% + EDLI Admin. Charges- 0.01% = 13.61% (Total).
Is this break up correct or wrong? Would you please tell me?
I've one more question.
If an employee withdraws her/his PF before the age of 58 then how much amount or percentage will be deducted from the PF a/c?

Hi Piyali
Your calculation is not correct. Admin charges account 2 is been revised from 1.1% to 0.85%
So total is 12% from EE
125 from ER (8.33% as EPS + 3.67% as EPF)
Admin charges account no. 2 is 0.85%
EDLI charges account no. 21 is 0.50%
EDLI Admin charges account no. 22 is 0.01%
Now if any employee withdraws PF then they will get only EE contribution
