I work in a central government organisation for past 6 years, currently i am on maternity leave and due to some family issues i wanted to continue with child care leave as i am the primary care taker of my child.i have requested for three months child care leave in writing and my application was rejected on the grounds of staff shortage and i am asked to join immediately after the expiry of maternity leave or else face disciplinary action. I am unable to entrust my child to any one else until atleast baby is able to eat well. Nearby play schools I enquired will take up babies who are at least one year old. Appointing a full-time caretaker is too costly, and I can't afford it. What am I supposed to do?
