Can any body tell me if the salary of an employee is Rs.9500/- (Basic Rs.6000/-, Allowances Rs.3500/-). In this situation is the employer liable to pay bonus on total of Rs.6000/- or his liability is to the extent of Rs.3500/-. In other words is employer has option to pay bonus only on Rs.3500/-. In case of any rules/publication in this regard please e-mail me the same. Futher, please inform me when will be the limit of Rs.10000/- will be applicable. Please send me the copy of notification.
