Dear HR Fraternity,
Please do not bother about all these things.
P.F. still stands at Rs. 6500/- and ESIC stands at Rs. 15000/-.
With the Election around the Corner - any such proposal needs detailed discussions in the Cabinet. The Cabinet needs to approve such proposals, and then it is to be sent to the President for his approval - then it has to be NOTIFIED / GAZETTED.
Meanwhile, there would be lobbying from Corporates to postpone or even dump such proposals.
Let us wait to see if at all these things are AMENDED / NOTIFIED & GAZETTED. While gazetting (if it passes through various procedures) the effective date will be intimated.
Until then, let us just carry on with what is on our plate.
Thanks for the understanding.
Regards,
PS:
There was hue and cry when the Sexual Harassment Act was introduced, with so many interpretations - Articles, etc. But what happened? It has NOT YET BEEN NOTIFIED OR GAZETTED. The Central Government is yet to even frame Rules for that!
So, for any Central or State Act, let us just wait for the proper Notification --> Gazetting, where the effective date will be intimated in advance.
In India, nothing is implemented from this moment, except for "an increase in the prices of essential commodities."

Dear team,
I need some clarity on gratuity payment. We are working five days a week, and currently, we provide gratuity for those who have completed 4 years and 240 days. However, there is a discussion where some argue that gratuity should be provided for those who complete 4 years and 190 days. Can you help me understand if we are required to give gratuity for 4 years and 190 days as per any judgment or provision in the gratuity act?
Another issue is that some employees who have not completed even 4 years are requesting gratuity upon retirement. Are we obligated to provide gratuity to them?
Kindly share your valuable advice along with any necessary legal evidence.
Thanks and regards,
