Dear all, I am working as an junior engineer in military engineer service.I have appeared for assistant engineer post in Arunachal pradesh and got selected. The problem is ,i had not applied for NOC(no objection certificate ) and if I inform the department ,it will be lengthy process also my current boss not so cooperative . I am in big confusion whether to inform the department or leave without informing anybody.My joining nearing day by day . Please help me sir/madam/learned member .

Dear Mr Anonymous,
This post should have been put up much earlier before you applied for another job while being in Govt service.
NOC is mandatory for such applications.
What did you write in the application for the current job in Arunachal Pradesh.surely you must have concealed your earlier continuing employment in MES.
Your discreetly sound out your administrative officer to find out procedure for exit from MES.
Running away or abandoning a Govt job and going to another Govt job has its own dangers.Your previous employment and abandonment thereof will be found out.
This is a call which you have to take.

Thank you for the reply and also I found this site three days ago. I was on probotionary period ,when I was applying for the post,but now the result is declared after one and half year after completion of my probotionary period.Is there any other way so that i can resign from my current job?.Sir, i am really in great trouble,can i apply for NOC now or will simple resignation letter to the boss will do the purpose?. Please guide me.
