Dear Seniors,
We had hired a security guard for our office in February 2022 who is still working with us. The age of that guard at the time of recruitment was 62 years and we are deducting his ESI from the day of joining, I want to know is it correct and if not then what is the way and process to provide health insurance to him because his salary is INR 20000.

ESIC Scheme has not been mentioned any where about age restriction for ESI contribution. So long the monthly gross salary except conveyance allowance ( As per Apex court verdict ) is 21,000/- per month or below , the employee will be covered under ESI.
