We are planning to buy the components from Wholesalers and supply and service to Energy Based Companies. So I want to know ESI registration required or not. If required what is the formalities.

As indicated by you, if there is no manufacturing process in your unit, the unit will be called as "shop" and will be coverable under ESI Act, 1948 if it employ 10 or more persons in its premises. Coverage depends upon facts of employment and the nature of work performed in the unit.
Therefore, as and when you start your unit, it will be proper to consult and contact the nearest ESIC office and get necessary guidelines in the matter. You can also download some literature on ESI from website of ESIC.
