Dear connections.
Good Afternoon.
I need a suggestion from you that if one employee takes leave ( CL) from 29th December 2023 to 7th January 2024. Can he get weekly off on 31st December 2023 as Sunday or it will be counted as CL ?????

Hi, It should be counted as CL and not week off. Such long leaves with more than 3 days should be considered as EL /PL or Sick leave in case if leave availed is due to sickness.

Answer depends upon the category. If person is daily rated, such person can avail weekly off without pay. Whoever is appointed on the monthly paid basis, will not be eligible to enjoy Weekly Off, for that specific day he has to apply for leave or will be treated as absent instead.
