Dear professionals,
Some of our employees are asking to implement weekly activities in our IT firm. One constraint we face is time. Can anyone propose some activities for them? Is it okay to take their time after working hours for these leisure activities if they are okay with it?
Looking forward to your response.

It is fine to have some social activities on weekends, but don't term them as Employee Engagement (EE) activities unless they are designed for that purpose. A sporadic get-together of employees or social evenings will not become EE unless there is a conscious attempt to build emotional involvement of employees in the company. If it is to be EE, then you will have to first diagnose the situation and plan activities to raise the EE level.

Hi Priya,
It's important to also check with employees if they are okay to participate in the weekend or post working hours. Ideally, Friday post 3 or 4 pm would be a great time if the management is okay with the same.
